The Compensation & Benefits Manager/Assistant Manager serves as a subject matter expert and consultant to the business on compensation/benefit regulations, programs, policies, and practices.    


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR and business clients by delivering compensation solutions that support business objectives.
  • Co-work with Talent Acquisition on external offers.
  • Develop and deliver competitive compensation programs, including market survey, annual salary review, promotion, incentive schemes, and equity programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all related regulations including work rules, labor-mgnt committee, pension, leave policies, insurance plans, employee welfare committee (EWC)...etc.
  • Evaluate and recommend benefit related programs, services, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.
  • Manage benefit programs implementation, key suppliers, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Ad-hoc project supports.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in compensation/benefit or similar field.
  • Progressive compensation and human resources experience. 
  • Must have a good understanding of compensation programs (base/bonus/equity), pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, and job evaluation. 
  • Analytical mindset and ability to manage complex data sets. Strong reporting & analytics skills.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to details and the ability to prioritize and work well. With a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge and experience with labor laws as it relates to compensation/benefits. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin(Chinese) is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in e-commerce or tech companies.
  • Experience and high proficiency with the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and HRIS software.
  • Fluency in English is highly desirable.
