About You:
Collaborative, enthusiastic designer with a great eye and aesthetic who is looking for an opportunity to support our Snapfish team through brand systems implementation, in-season creative asset creation and Q4 creative support. Skilled at bringing concepts to life through execution in various digital marketing channels. Demonstrated omni-channel marketing design experience in retail/ecommerce. Ability to own projects through final execution, including creating strong relationships with key partners. Aptitude to photo art direct and retouching direction skills a plus. Proactive and organized, executes work in a quick and efficient manner, with strong attention to detail.

About the Role:
This Designer works within the Snapfish Creative Team to collaboratively brainstorm concepts and execute key projects across channels as identified. This role supports Managing Art Directors and Creative Directors by delivering thoughtful, inspired solutions that engage customers and lead to clicks and conversions. This is a contractor position within a core team of Designers and Copywriters.
Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively from concept to execution—define and bring to life the creative vision, bringing groundbreaking creative ideas and solutions to the table 
  • Work comfortably with greater Shutterfly Brand, Marketing, Channel and Merchandise Partners
  • Can bring ideas to life via sketches and photo art direction, in addition to design
  • Active participation in project Kickoffs, asking insightful questions to gain detail, clarification and alignment with Business Partners 
  • Lead innovative thinking, championing better ways to deliver on internal client requests
  • Confidently present ideas and concepts to Creative Directors and internal clients (Marketing & Business Partners) with a spirit of collaboration 
  • Juggle a mix of long-term and quick-turnaround projects, often with overlapping priorities and urgency 
  • Show professionalism in all aspects of your daily tasks, including taking feedback and edits with grace and positivity 
  • Be self-motivated  
  • Continually adopt new tools and practices as the work evolves 
  • Manage work tasks, functions and time sheet using department’s project management tool 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Graphic Arts, Advertising or Fine Arts highly preferred, but will accept additional experience in lieu of formal education
  • 3+ years’ experience with a minimum 1 year within retail/ecommerce preferred
  • Portfolio to showcase your skills
  • Hands-on experience designing across a variety of marketing channels 
  • Expert Adobe CC and Figma skills a must
  • Fundamental knowledge of typography, grid systems, design systems, brand systems, color theory, and composition
  • Agency experience preferred   
  • Retail / eCommerce experience a must 
  • Track record working with loved brands
  • Great eye and aesthetic that compliments and elevates Shutterfly and Snapfish brands
  • Understanding and knowledge of advertising technology and digital marketing solutions 
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Be self-motivated and a thoughtful, yet quick problem solver 
  • Patience and infectious, positive attitude with a collaborative approach 
  • Low ego, balanced with confidence and a healthy sense of personal drive, ambition and ownership  
  • A great attitude and flexibility towards business and its ever-changing, sometimes ambiguous nature
  • Sense of humor and the ability to have fun doing what you love
