Job Description

Support Center - Irving

The Digital Merchandising Optimization Specialist is responsible for curating and optimizing product assortments to tell compelling stories across digital channels that engage customers and drive sales. This includes mastering a range of internal tools to optimize onsite browse and search, managing product data feeds to ensure high performing product is featured offsite in paid media, and building scalable processes to ensure optimal product selection to maximize KPIs. The ideal candidate blends analytical and technical skills with a merchant mindset and category knowledge to optimize digital merchandising performance. Both quantitative and creative abilities are key.

Product Optimization

  • Curate products, develop merchandising strategies, and lead execution of promotional placements, paid ad campaigns, and strategic browse and search placements.
  • Analyze performance data to identify top-selling products and opportunities to boost product findability and visibility
  • Continuously optimize based on click-through rates, conversions, revenue, and other KPIs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure brand voice consistency across channels and campaigns. Key stakeholders include content management team and marketing.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to enhance discoverability and product storytelling. Key stakeholders include tech and content managers.
  • Lead Ad Hoc Projects and Analyses as requested by leadership

Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Minimum Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, fashion merchandising, retail management, or related field.
  • Coursework in digital marketing, ecommerce, and consumer behavior is highly desirable.

Minimum Special Certifications or Tech Skills

  • Proficiency with CMS, DAM, and merchandising tools and the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies and tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

  • 3+ years in site merchandising, ecommerce content development, or digital marketing experience
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Knowledge of digital merchandising and omnichannel best practices
  • Track record optimizing digital product assortments for engagement and conversion
  • Creative and aesthetic sensibility in retail and consumer finished goods, especially in Jewelry, Home Décor, Kitchen, Art, Clothing
  • Ability to interpret social trends, insights, and data and translate it into actionable business results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Preferred Education

  • An advanced degree that combines business/ecommerce fundamentals with specialization in a product category like fashion, interior design, or visual arts.

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Proficient using data tools like Looker or Tableau
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools, Figma, and Algonomy

Preferred Type of experience the job requires

  • 5+ years experience
  • Ecommerce tech savviness and ability to quickly ramp on new technical systems
  • Experience in lifestyle industry (fashion, home, beauty, etc)
  • Strong understanding of trends and cultural zeitgeist
  • A self-starter with a passion for physical handmade products

Range 53,600.00 - 75,000.00 - 96,400.00 USD Annual
