POSITION OVERVIEW:    
As an integral member of the Brand Marketing Team, Spoonflower is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Editor Specialist to be responsible for supporting many ongoing activities on our content team specific to the home/ interior space. As an Editor Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in executing tactical components of our wallpaper consumer segment strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and organized individual with a passion for strategic creative writing, collaboration, storytelling, and community engagement.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    
  • Content Creation and Curation:
    • Curate and create content related to interior design, home decor, and wallpaper trends.
    • Ensure that the content aligns with Spoonflower's brand identity and resonates with the target audience.
    • Collaborate with designers, photographers, and writers to develop engaging content.
  •  Editorial Support:
    • Writing, editing and proofreading written content, including articles, blog posts, product descriptions, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving content quality and clarity.
  •  Community Engagement:
    • Engage with Spoonflower's community of designers, creators, and customers through various channels such as social media, forums, and events.
    •  Foster a sense of community by responding to comments, inquiries, and feedback promptly and professionally.
    • Identify opportunities to collaborate with influencers, bloggers, and other relevant stakeholders to expand Spoonflower's reach and impact in the interior design community.
  •  Market Research and Trend Analysis:
    • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences in the interior design and home decor space.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for the content team and other stakeholders.
  •  Project Management:
    • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product development, to execute integrated campaigns and initiatives.
  •  Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on digital assets, such as images, videos, and interactive content, to ensure they meet brand standards and technical specifications.
  •  Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, website traffic, and social media metrics.
    • Generate regular reports and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategies and inform future decision-making.
SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS:    
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
    • 2+ years of experience in content writing, content marketing or related roles
    • 1+ in the home interior space is a plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for collaboration and community engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • An interest in interiors and keen knowledge of key players in the interior design industry is a plus.
  • Understanding of SEO structure and strategy in content a plus.
