About the role

The Lead Field Service Engineer is responsible for the highest level of customer support and services. The lead role will provide technical leadership and governance and will act as a change agent within the overall team. It is expected that the lead role will train others within the team.

• Leads the most complex of troubleshooting situations, often where coordination between other teams is required, to determine the root cause and plan/manage the long-term remediation of issues.

• Ensures that equipment needs are understood and met on a timely basis - equipment is provided with appropriate global SLAs independent of where the colleague works or lives.

• Hardware and software needs are understood, orders processed, and error-free installations performed timely.

• Appropriate inventory is maintained to meet normal client demand.

What you'll do

• Provide first and second level support for incidents and service requests to business and colleagues.

• Leads problem resolution of more complex incidents and problems.

• Take part in Technology projects as required, either as the local IT colleague or as part of a wider global endeavor.

What we're looking for

• 1.Desktop Virtualization: Familiarity with desktop virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V and VirtualBox.

• 3. Endpoint Security: Understanding of endpoint security concepts and tools, including antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint protection solutions.

• 4. Patch Management: Knowledge of patch management processes to ensure that all desktop systems are up to date with the latest security updates and patches.

• 5. Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs. Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues for desktop systems.

• 6. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline administrative processes.

• Bachelor's Degree required.

• Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

• On-call availability required as necessary.

• Professional, office environment.

• Local (in-country) travel required.
