Job Description



Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager – Event and Campaign is to plan and coordinate the Venetian, Palazzo & Venetian Expo presence and participation at various shows, events, conferences, and conventions nationwide. This position will have responsibility to collaborate and manage with the Group Sales team on planning and executing of all aspects and details customer engagement opportunities, including site inspections, on-and-off site events and familiarization (FAM) trips, with the goal of creating custom memorable experiences for the customer that are unique.

 All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies,   practices, and procedures.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Travel and participates in sales calls, coordination site inspections, coordination of entertainment and networking events, evenings, and weekends.
  • Collaborate with and support the Sales team in all aspects of event planning and management, including budget allocation, venue selection and management, content and marketing development, program coordination, and etc.
  • Coordinate necessary on-and-offsite meeting arrangements, site inspections, agendas and all logistics related to the events but not limited to site routes, assisting in décor, menu selection, concept creation, and maintaining proper representation, ensuring group’s key needs are addressed and showcased.
  • Offer creative input for site visits, customer events, and sales presentation.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal departments to ensure alignment and success full execution and participation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other internal partners to create customized material to be used in email campaigns, invites, save the dates etc.
  • Ensure the requested function and guest rooms are appropriately reserved and set up for each inspection trip.



Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect each reserved function and guest room prior to site inspections and communicate any issues to the front desk and sales department.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the offsite events to include correspondence and communication to organization, registration, exhibits, appointments, giveaways, shipping of materials, invitations, entertainment, and any additional related items.
  • Maintain and records all expenses related to tradeshows, FAM trips, site visit inspections and on-and offsite, to allow for accurate projecting and tracking of ROI .
  • Actively research, develop, and evaluate the use of new products, and services, and technology to ensure we maintain and competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/gaming environment.
  • Manage site visits and oversee amenities for clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain an understanding of overall market (e.g., competition, economic trends, seasonality, supply and demand, etc.) in order differentiate The Venetian Resort from the competition.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future business opportunities.
  • Understand The Venetian Resort’s primary target customers and service expectation.
  • Gain an understanding of customer’s business, business issues and concerns and offer solutions both prior to, and during customer engagement.
  • Focus on deadlines.
  • Ability to work with CRM and other systems.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • and collaborate with internal Marketing and other partners.
  • 3 years of experience in events management in the hospitality, sales, travel, or tourism industry.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in hotel sales, event management or operations.
  • 2 years of experience using CRM – Delphi, MS Dynamics, and MS Office products.
  • Working knowledge of Delphi, Microsoft Office, CRM, Excel, and Access.
  • Must possess exceptional multi-tasking capabilities and demonstrated unparalleled customer service orientation.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, administrate and manage minutiae of event coordination, including budget and post-event reporting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written  form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.



Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
