Job Description

SUMMARY

Instrumental in maintaining smooth operation of our production process. Role will involve transporting materials within the facility, inspecting and maintaining forklifts, adhering to safety protocols, and assisting in other areas of Materials as needed.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials/supplies in stock and recording location of inventory.
  • Efficiently move product from staging/and or storage areas into trailers using proper dock safety procedures
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and reporting all needed operator repairs.
  • Identifies transfer/serial tags on baskets to assure proper parts identification.
  • Maintain 5s of container storage areas, warehouse, operation floor and yard.
  • Performance of Bin-to-bin process, production reporting, bin audits
  • Creates S/U labels when necessary.
  • Assists in maintaining Warehouse/ Inventory accuracy.
  • Scrap / trash disposal and repack of material as needed.
  • Escalating material delivery downtime to direct supervisor
  • MUST remain compliant with all OSHA related guidelines that are within the scope of our business and completes all required safety training.
  • Tugger cart operation-will be responsible for receiving, delivery and handling of material distributed throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas through use of tugger cart

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year + prior experience operating within in a production or warehouse environment.
  • MUST have minimum 6 months forklift/ power industrial vehicle operation experience.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain valid Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory control principles and procedures
  • Ability to maintain an organized workplace.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply complex thinking and problem-solving skills to carry out detailed, involved written and/or oral instructions.
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds as required by job.
  • Ability to work in cold or extreme heat weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • General knowledge and experience using computers and other office equipment.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP software
  • Ability to work well with others and coach/teach others in effort to support team member development.
