Position: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Cambridge, Ontario

Reporting Relationship: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor / Materials and Logistics Manager

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing activities that promote organizational, communication and informed decision making regarding customer and manufacturing group requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 Run J.I.T. schedules submitted through EDI from customers, calculating daily requirements

 Address any discrepancies with customer and production planning department

 Make any necessary changes to customer cumulative information

 Plot requirements for all customers; create and print deliveries through SAP system

 Maintain and communicate carrier schedules daily/weekly

 Systematic archiving of shipping documentation

 Communicate any requirement issues to both the customer and the manufacturing group

 Report and investigate inventory discrepancy issues to inventory control personal

 Complete shipment documentation

 Access customer portals for shipping information/requirements

 Support customer container management

 Comply with requirements and assist in maintenance of the necessary quality standards (QS9000/ISO/IATF16949/ISO14001)

 Actively participate in ongoing continual improvement activities and initiatives

 Collect and report monitoring data in support of the EHS management system

 Strive towards meeting company EHS goals

 Understand and follow all EHS policies

 Participate and promote EHS activities

 Report opportunities for improvement and any EHS issues

Minimum Qualifications

 Materials Management Diploma

 Knowledge of SAP/ERP Systems

 Thorough understanding of Customer Releases (AIAG Standards) and knowledge of how to plan shipments based on the information provided

 Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills

 Advanced time management and priority assignment skills

 Sense of situation urgency and timeliness for internal and external communication

 Proficient in Microsoft Office
