Support Center - Irving

The Product Manager – Mobile Experience is responsible for defining the MakerPlace mobile experience vision and strategy aligned with business goals, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, conducting market analysis inclusive of competitor research, and working cross-functionally to deliver the right mobile experience to enable the new business model of selling handmade goods and services on MakerPlace by Michaels. You will lead the market analysis, competitor research, and data analysis to identify customer and seller needs, pain points, and emerging trends in the mobile landscape. You will set, prioritize, and align the mobile strategy to business objectives. You will oversee mobile experience product, tool, and feature development through the entire lifecycle from concept ideation through to launch, execution, and scale. A self-starter, you will lead cross-functional collaboration and alignment across business and technology functions. You will engage with business leaders and users to translate complex business objectives and requirements into features and user stories to create an overall mobile experience vision, strategy, roadmap, and pipeline. Work is both tactical and strategic as you handle complex product development and business management scenarios, requiring smart trade-offs and a collaborative approach across functional partners. At the core, we are looking for someone with strong technical and business acumen, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional mobile experiences.

We are developing a world-class 3rd Party Marketplace for Maker-Sellers to learn, grow, connect, and sell their handmade finished goods and services. This effort alongside a significantly enhanced site experience and B2B Marketplace will deliver a full transformation of the digital ecosystem for the company.

Product Management

  • Own the creation of an end-to-end mobile experience product/platform vision and strategy for the MakerPlace in partnership with Technical Product Managers, Engineering/Development teams and cross-functional business stakeholders
  • Partner effectively to understand business needs, impact, and seller needs to ensure cross-functional roadmaps are aligned to deliver an optimal mobile experience CX inclusive of functional dependencies
  • Lead market and user Research to inform the mobile experience strategy with market analysis, competitor research, user research, and data analysis to identify customer needs, pain points, and emerging trends in the mobile landscape.
  • Own decision making and prioritization of new feature pipeline, roadmap, and backlog
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define scope, make smart trade-offs, and translate user stories into clear technical requirements
  • Establish simplified processes and audit mechanisms to ensure product meets buyer, seller, and business stakeholder needs
  • Support rollout efforts by leading teams to develop robust testing and go to market plans

Digital Experience

  • Own the E2E CX for the mobile experience for both buyers and sellers on MakerPlace and effectively work with the UI/UX and design teams to develop wires, comps, customer journeys and user flows
  • Champion a seamless E2E mobile experience by reducing friction points and advocating for impactful CX enhancements and features that scale
  • Lead cross functional collaboration and communication across multiple business and technology teams to provide mobile experience solutions to meet the business needs
  • Set an A/B testing plan for mobile experience optimization

New Feature Development

  • Lead the mobile experience product lifecycle from concept ideation, development, to launch supported by market and user research, including competitive analysis, data analysis, and seller and buyer feedback
  • Build business cases to support new mobile feature approval, prioritization, and development

Other

  • Lead Ad Hoc Projects as requested by leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, business, math, finance or economics or related field required

Minimum Special Certifications or Tech Skills

  • Mobile platform expertise: deep knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and best practices for building compelling mobile experiences
  • Proficient with web services, online technologies, and user interface design
  • Thorough understanding of desktop, mweb, and app technologies
  • Expert at Microsoft suite, including presentations and project management software
  • Detailed understanding of eCommerce, content management systems, and infrastructure

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

  • 4+ years of relevant product management experience in tech, retail or related consumer facing industry
  • Understands product, program, and design management frameworks & methodologies
  • Experience building ground up, nascent business models/functions/products/services from concept development to launch
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with business and technology executives in a fast paced, startup environment

  • Familiarity with Miro, Atlassian tools, and Figma

Range - 81,400.00 - 107,100.00 - 132,800.00 USD Annual
