Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of Architectural Aluminum Products and Systems for the Building and Construction industry. Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Reynobond Production Lead to support our AAP business. We are the leading manufacturer of an aluminum composite material (ACM) known as Reynobond. Reynobond is primarily used in the commercial construction industry.  Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit.

The Reynobond Production Lead will provide support to the Shift Supervisor, train and coach Reynobond Line employees, while generating a plant environment that promotes safety, quality, cost management, and customer satisfaction. Must lead the department on daily management, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Problem Solving. Provide support to the other departments with respect to the overall “order to ship” process to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. 

This is an hourly position, pay starts at $27.37/hour depending on experience, and some overtime will be required. An additional $1.00/hour is added as a shift premium for all hours worked on night shift. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and promote a culture of EHS as the highest value and as a condition of employment
  • Support customer requirements, including reaching OTIF % target
  • Support quality assurance requirements, including reaching Claims % target, timely response to Corrective Actions, and timely disposition on ‘quality-held’ product
  • Support efficient operations, including reaching Scrap % target, OEE % target, driving continuous improvement, coordinating changeover events and planned downtime events
  • Employee relations, including coaching, development and cross-training opportunities, resource allocation and accountability
  • Support daily and weekly reporting, including shift reports, maintenance issues, safety incident and quality notifications
  • Support daily communications, including L1 shift meetings and outgoing/incoming production teams to relay critical information
  • Develop strong knowledge of product specifications 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned 

A successful candidate will/have: 

  • Effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats
  • Possess knowledge of lean operating principles
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment, promoting teamwork
  • Self-Starter
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn/change when necessary, including willingness to receive feedback
  • Ability and willingness to travel for off-the-job training 
  • Ability to quickly resolve production problems
  • Ability to coach employees and provide constructive employee feedback
  • Willingness to hold employees accountable when necessary

*Candidate should have a desire to grow and pursue production supervisor position in the future. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma OR GED 
  • 3 years relevant manufacturing experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit/stand for up to 2 hrs
  • Must be able to bend/squat at a 45-degree angle
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility for up to 12 hours
  • Must be able to work for brief periods in high-heat conditions
  • Must be able to reach overhead, when needed 
  • Must be able to climb ladders/stairs, when needed
  • Occasional entry into a tight space 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Reynobond Line experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience focusing on process improvement
  • Advanced computer skills with all MS Office programs
  • Ability to operate all types of mobile equipment
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
  • Associates’ Degree from an accredited college with a focus on business management or lean manufacturing or other related field
