Havasu Regional Medical Center

The Nursing Float Pool RN provides delivery of patient care with the skills of an experienced Registered Nurse. She/he demonstrates advanced leadership skills while emulating Facilities’ Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior. The Float Pool RN provides patient care working in multiple units including ER, ICU, IMCU, PACU/ASU, Cath Lab, Med/Surg, Telemetry, SNU, OB (Labor if experienced), Post-partum, Clinics and Inpatient Acute Rehab for Havasu Regional Medical Center and/or Valley View Medical center.


All positions at Havasu Regional Medical Center and Valley View Medical Center are part of an interdisciplinary team, and, as such, participate in the care and service delivery process through effective interaction with other team members. Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Manager of Nursing Administration

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Associate’s degree Required. Bachelor degree preferred

Required Licenses
Registered Nurses                      
Licenses:
Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License

Certifications:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Critical Care including ER, PACU/ASU, ICU, IMCU, Cath Lab and OB. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, SNU, Post-partum, Clinics, and Inpatient Acute Rehab.

Current TNCC, ACLS, NRP and PALS certification required based on Level assignment up on the hire

Moderate Sedation & Deep Sedation competency within 60 days of hire
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Effective human relations skills are required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, patients, families and other contacts. Must possess the ability to effectively function in a stressful environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality on large amounts of information. Must possess the ability to prioritize work, and to perform the essential duties of the position. Must be able to assist therapist with treatment of patients of all age groups, and cultural backgrounds. May be exposed to infectious diseases and emergency situations. Must possess the ability to use the following equipment: Telephone / Overhead Paging System / Fax Machine / Calculator / Computer / All rehab equipment. Must be able to work any scheduled shifts. Must be willing to work periodic overtime. Completed Competency Based Skills Checklists for unit(s) assigned.
