You are a self-starter with a passion for creating, deploying and maintaining awesome, yet boring infrastructure components, tools and services on the public cloud at scale. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed environment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and learnings, and to prioritize multiple tasks and challenges in order to keep pace with an innovative and changing product and technical landscape. Your strong technical background, ability to evaluate tradeoffs and clear communication skills will serve you well in this demanding role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application devops & development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications with the platform infrastructure.

• Work with application teams to understand requirements for building, testing, deploying, and running applications in the cloud, and guide application teams towards cloud native practices.

• Ensure the security and compliance of the platform by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and best practices.

• Implement automated processes and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

• Design, develop, and run cloud infrastructure systems via IaC and Kubernetes

• Optimize and monitor the performance of the platform, addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any platform-related issues, working closely with the support team and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 5+ years professional experience as Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or similar role

• Proficient with Linux, Git, Terraform, and scripting languages such as python or bash

• Knowledge of cloud platforms & infrastructure technologies such as VPCs, ACLs, GKE, & GCE

• Experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, & cloud security practices 

• Experience with open-sourced technologies such as Helm

Preferred:

• Google Cloud Experience

• Cloud Migration & Application Modernization Experience

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $299,375.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
