We're seeking a self-motivated, hands-on Senior Engineer with a passion for sports and a knack for innovation to help us push the boundaries of what's possible.

Your day will entail working with our AI team focusing on enriching experiences using AI how content is presented to users on Yahoo Sports. You will be needing to solve content classification/categorization, summarization, personalization, ranking, insights extraction problems alongside team while building applications on Yahoo Sports. You'll collaborate with a team of passionate, like-minded professionals dedicated to innovating at the intersection of sports and technology.

Requirements: 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent certification

  • 5+ years of experience in software development

  • Experience in programming in Python, including implementation of Design Patterns, Unit Testing, OOP, Functional Testing, Asynchronous Programming.

  • Experience developing, deploying and maintaining applications at scale. 


Nice/Good to Have:

  • Experience with AWS services like S3, DynamoDB, SQS, API Gateway.

  • Familiarity IAC frameworks, e.g. Terraform / CDK

  • Familiarity with AI tools and models (generative AI and other LLMs).

  • Passion for the Sports Industry and a passion for delivering products that our users simply cannot live without.

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $266,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
