Job Description


The Sr. Business Analyst has responsibility for supporting a broad range of HRIS solutions through the maintenance and monitoring of human resource information. Act as subject matter expert user for UltiPro HCM solution. Act as an escalation point for end-users who are experiencing difficulties in using the system. General technical support of stakeholders who utilize HR information.


  • Communicate with end-users, team members, corporate leaders, and the business to define reporting requirements and gather and/or define functional specifications for reporting and configuration requirements.
  • Ensures they are meeting customer needs by using insightful questions and following up for clarity and transparency.
  • Responds with status updates and/or next steps to complex Workday service requests in a timely fashion
  • Act as the main point of contact for the HRIS system, including but not limited to: design, configuration, training, testing, system enhancements, roll out and reporting
  • Train end-users on system functionality and work with training to create written documentation (e.g., job aids, infographics) for knowledge sharing and distribution
  • Maintains security and integrity of the system
  • Defines, Creates, and troubleshoots standard and complex reports and queries and provides scheduled reports to business leaders
  • Troubleshoots system errors and issues as they arise and assess options for resolution. Test and implement solutions as needed.
  • Researches and recommends continuous improvement of solutions and business processes
  • Contributes to HR business process improvement activities
  • Identifies and implements system upgrade requirements and enhancements
  • Ensures data integrity with HR-related interfaces of both inbound and outbound integrations
  • Maintains system configuration and set-up to provide required functionality and reporting capabilities meet the needs of the end-users
  • Troubleshoots end-user or system issues and document resolutions
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education:  Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering or other technical or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.


Experience/ Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:  

-         Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or 5 years experience in HRIS and database management

-         Minimum of 5 years of experience with well known HRIS solution supporting one or more of the following modules:

  • HCM (including Advanced Comp and benefits)
  • US Payroll systems
  • Talent & Recruiting

-         Well versed in HRIS advanced reporting, calculated fields, and business process

-         Ability to research new functionality or features and make recommendations on implementing, including configuration

-         Ability to apply discretion as it relates to confidential or sensitive information

-         Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

-         Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

-         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

-         Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication with a strong customer service focus

-         Collaborates with team members and other business leaders to manage changes required

-         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
