The Senior Replenishment Planner will support assigned merchandising categories by maintaining inventory levels appropriate to meet sales objectives. This Team Member will maximize profitability by meeting inventory turn goals as well as managing the exit of discontinued product. This individual will provide reporting on inventory issues and detailed resolution. The Senior Replenishment Planner will efficiently communicate with vendor partners to ensure performance and achieve problem resolution.

Major Activities

Merchandising

  • Work closely with Merchandising and Inventory Management Team to ensure inventory levels both support financial objectives and meet in stock goals
  • Maintain proper set up and continued maintenance / review of Item and vendor parameters in the Automatic Replenishment system
  • Ensure timely and accurate orders and transfers for SBA merchandise categories to both stores and DCs
  • Develop and implement necessary unique replenishment tactics on trend or highly seasonal categories / items
  • Support efforts to revive or exit troubled or down trending categories

Analysis

  • Partner with Demand Planner, Merchandising, and Planning Team to review inventory for upcoming sets as well as exiting product
  • Provide data to planning team to monitor future inventory receipts vs. financial plan
  • Review data with Merchant Team on key items to ensure support of sales during peak season

Documentation

  • Maintain appropriate documentation of changes made to replenishment parameters to allow thorough review of impact and success of those changes
  • Provide weekly update on status of key inventory issues
  • Provide updates on key inventory metrics vs. goals

Communication

  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with merchandising, vendors, store operations and all other cross functional teams
  • Proactively communicate any SBA inventory issues with merchants and supervisor to allow for best resolution
  • Communicate with merchants and supervisor on any issues impacting support of SBA product for features or promotions
  • Manage vendor performance through appropriate communication involving merchant team and inventory managers as necessary

Performance Measures

  • Achieve comp store sales
  • Achieve gross margin objectives
  • Reduce overstock and increase inventory productivity
  • Ensure inventory levels are in support of achieving financial objectives 
  • Accuracy and quality of feature space sets
  • Meet forecasted financial results for approved projects

Other duties as assigned Minimum Education

  • BS in Business, Finance, Retail or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • MS Excel

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 4 + years in retail support center environment
  • 3 + years of replenishment required
  • Analytical thinking, detail oriented
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Ability to influence decision making process
  • Ability to lead by example
  • JDA/Blue Yonder experience
