General Summary

Assist in the finishing, assembly and packaging of products. Operate manufacturing equipment to produce component parts. Set up equipment as necessary. Might make minor adjustments to equipment in order to maintain production and quality standards. Notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Duty

  1. Set up and operate equipment to assist in the assembly of products. This includes trimming, welding, cutting, coating, heating, counting and packaging.

  1. Check equipment and tool settings against specifications before operation, making adjustments when necessary.

Addendum: Specifics for Area Worked

  • Set up and adjust the head bolt and roll up machines including changeovers to machine sizes.
  • Perform first article inspection.
  • Print readable bar codes and verify numbers against bills of material.
  • Perform a daily maintenance check which may include cleaning bar code printer and heating elements; troubleshoot machine issues and make machine adjustments.
  • Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve.
  • Bundle finished sets or pack sets inside a pallet box as needed.
