Job Description

About the Role:

Responsibility for planning capacity, managing resources and controlling workflows in Tech Data's 500k sq ft Semi automated Logistics facility. The role has responsible as part of the existing management team for ensuring KPI achievement in terms of service, productivity and cost.

Responsibilities:

Manage the balance between resources and workload, effective usage and capacity planning of resources

Working closely with the management team to continuously improve process to improve quality and reduce cost e.g. Slotting and release management

Management of operations to exceed goals and targets (productivity, quality, customer facing SLA's, Cost – resource and freight cost)

Maintain, develop and measure proper set of internal KPIs, SLAs, cost (tracking/control)

Developing optimal strategies for workload release based on detailed planning and simulations

Participation in project management and leading various internal projects

Participation in annual planning processes (productivity, Headcount, Log. Cost incl. Freight cost)

Implementation of innovation

Communication and close cooperation with key internal and external partners (internal sales org., carriers, customers etc.). Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting. Manual handling training to be provided;
  • Previous warehouse experience;
  • Total customer satisfaction (internally and externally);
  • Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards;
  • Honest, trustworthy, able to work unsupervised;
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Keen to learn and acquire new skills, responds positively to feedback;
  • Demonstrates initiative and contributes ideas;
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving without cutting corners;
  • Good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices;
  • Positive team player;
  • Flexible, adaptable, and calm when working under pressure;
  • Possesses a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and IT competent (MS Office);
  • Qualified and competent to operate a Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck (if required);
