Purpose:

Our Product team is responsible for new product development including: design, pricing, risk analysis and product implementation. This position is responsible for supporting the team's deliverables and interacting with stakeholders across the actuarial function and other areas of the company.

Accountabilities:

  • Conducts competitive research to support the development of business cases for new product initiatives
  • Evaluates profitability of new products
  • Performs advanced risk analysis using actuarial modeling software
  • Analyzes and implements actuarial assumptions to be used in pricing models
  • Prepares state filings and responds to inquiries
  • Drafts product specifications for internal administrative systems
  • Supports the integration of new products into the processes of other actuarial teams
  • Assists in the review of marketing materials and other product literature


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field required
  • At least 2 years of actuarial and business-related experience required
  • Completion of at least 3 Society of Actuaries exams required and either obtained or pursuing an ASA or FSA designation
  • Proficiency with actuarial systems and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as well as the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings
  • Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Strong communication skills
