Swain Community Hospital

Supervises daily staff activities for Admissions department at Swain Community Hospital located in Bryson City, NC.

The Supervisor determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels; assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs; ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols; and leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

The Supervisor performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfil required service levels.

Swain Community Hospital is associated with Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in healthcare registration/revenue cycle setting. Supervisory experience is strongly desired. 

Required Skills:
Employee must possess a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Proficiency in typing and computer skills such as word processing, internet, and Outlook is required. Must be comfortable with learning and working with various admitting programs and navigating websites. 

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and dedicated to meeting expected outcomes. Requires flexibility in the performance of duties and must be a team player. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
