Georgetown Community Hospital

Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and general direction the Director of Environmental Services, is responsible for performing cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain sanitary, attractive and orderly conditions.

  1. Follows established cleaning methods in performing daily duties.

  2. Requests and collects necessary supplies and equipment and transports to work area.

  3. Cleans equipment and returns to designated area other than use.

  4. Adheres to hospital and department personnel policies and practices.

  5. Reports any work or area not cleaned by shift end to immediate supervisor.

  6. Performs periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

  7. Reports broken, damaged or inoperative equipment, lights or furnishings to immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Prior housekeeping experience is preferred.
