Job Description
Memorial Medical CenterThe Certified Surgical First Assistant is an advanced Allied Health Care Practitioner that has received formal education and training through an accredited program and possesses the experience and skills needed to help the surgeon carry out a safe and successful operation with optimal results for the surgical patient.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High School graduate orequivalent. Graduate of a surgical tech program and/or current SurgicalTechnologist certification. Successful completion of an accreditedSurgical First Assistant Program. CAAHEP accreditationpreferred.Minimum Experience: Atleast two years experience in the operating room within an acutecare facility required. On-call required.
Certification/Licensure: Current CPR Certificaterequired.
Current Surgical Technician Certificate required. Current Surgical First Assistant certification required. Credentialingthrough the Medical Staff Office required in order to be granted privileges forCertified Surgical First Assistant.
