MUST be a Certified Medical Assistant

MUST be able to accurately take and record vitals.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) under the direction and supervision of the Practice Physician(s) and the Director of Physician Services is responsible for the care of the patient and family utilizing age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. The Medical Assistant demonstrations professional development and clinical competency; addresses health educational needs for patients, families and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to the office operations; and applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions. The Medical Assistant will escort patients from waiting area, triage patients and record accurately, in chart chief complaint, medical history, home medications and vital signs. Assist Physician with exams and procedures, as requested. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Degree / Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Medical Assistant Certificate

Current BLS certification

Must be able to accurately take vitals. 

Experience Preferred:

Previous exp. working in an OB/GYN office preferred but not required

Experience Required:  

One (1) year experience performing clinical patient care in an acute care environment required.
