Our Orthopedic surgery services include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. Having an injury such as a torn rotator cuff or a fractured hip can cause a lot of downtime from a person’s daily routine, but being able to receive treatment from start to finish at one location, close to home, can help make the process more convenient. SRMC has orthopedic surgery specialists on staff specializing in problems of the knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, spine, foot and ankle.  Sumner Regional Medical Center is committed to providing a full range of orthopedic surgery services, including total joint replacement surgery. The Med/Surg Ortho tech, under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. Reports to: Director Medical/Surgical Orthopedics

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
State Certified Nurse Aide, can be considered without High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association) - Must be obtained within 30 days, if not current upon hire

Licenses: State of Tennessee Certified Nurse Aide licensure - Preferred
