Position Title: 

Default Servicing – Sr. Default Analyst

What we’re looking for:

The Sr. Default Analyst is responsible for minimizing risk exposure by working in partnership with our Sub-servicer, in addition to In-House Counsel, paralegal/s, and servicing department.   Will assist in administering Default and Corporate Litigated cases requiring higher levels of proficiency due to complexity (analytical, technical, and business knowledge components).

In addition, this role will provide executive reporting as well as support the entire Default Team including loss analysis, property preservation, BK, FCL and Loss Mitigation processes.

What you will do:

  • Actively engage on litigated aspects of assigned portfolio, including performance and profitability, timelines of disposition, overall characteristics, status and general reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborate with Management to provide feedback about problem areas, and any conditions that may adversely affect established goals.
  • Actively engage with sub-servicer in all default departments - including but not limited to Loss Mitigation, REO, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Legal, and Collections.
  • Manage title and vesting issues, including collateral issues by working with sub-servicer(s) and custodians as necessary.
  • Collaborate to offer case strategies with Sr. Managers to provide sub servicers and default vendors direction with court actions, assist in resolution of litigation matters and attorney inquiries.
  • Actively engage with various departments to resolve escalated borrower issues received by default management.
  • Perform loan level review and research as necessary.
  • Accountable for performing all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and state and federal laws.
  • Create and provide accurate reports as needed and assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

What you will need:

  • Team player with 10+ years of mortgage default servicing experience: preferably extensive experience with litigated foreclosure processes including contested foreclosure actions and title issues
  • Ability to interpret loan documents and legal filings/correspondence, required.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment.
  • Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loan types.
  • Strong aptitude for strategic thinking and problem resolution; assessing, understanding and quantifying risk.
  • Self-directed ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task in order to maintain established standards and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required. (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLookUp, etc.) with experience in creating reporting.
