Intrado is looking to hire a Director, Systems and Application Support to join our Life and Safety team in Longmont.

This Director is responsible for overseeing our operations team, who are subject matter experts in our 9-1-1 solutions from an infrastructure and application standpoint.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Participate in developing and implementing strategic plans within areas of responsibility in order to proactively enhance ability to meet business initiatives and goals while ensuring adherence to departmental and corporate policies and procedures
  • Lead and direct, assigned Information Technology staff in providing efficient, secure, and properly maintained programs and/or systems which meet end user (e.g., client, internal customer, etc.) needs while ensuring adherence to established corporate and departmental policies and procedures
  • Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality performance while continuing to develop personal management skill necessary to lead staff and handle unique management challenges
  • Proactively strive to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all workflow interfaces in order to exceed established business goals and objectives
  • Proactively work to continuously improve expense controls, cost savings measures and budget products
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree with major course work in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is required, however equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of increasingly responsible management experience in MIS or computer science required
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience required, preferably in a structured and well regulated environment
  • Understanding/working knowledge of UNIX, Windows, and Tandem/HP systems
  • Experience managing technical teams in an agile/Scaled Agile environment
  • Proven history of managing high performing, highly efficient teams
