Watertown Regional Medical Center

Supervises: Case Management (Utilization Review and Discharge Planning), Infection Control, Safety, JOINT COMMISSION Preparation, Medical Staff Quality Projects, WRMC Hospital Quality, Press Ganey Activities, and Medical management

Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Is responsible for leading, coordinating, and facilitating activities associated with Case Management, JOINT COMMISSION Preparation and Survey Process, Medical Staff and Hospital quality projects (including the VAAST initiatives), Performance Improvement, Press Ganey activities, Infection Control, Safety, Medical Management and the statistical analysis of data for quality projects. Ensures that the leaders within the organization
function in accordance with the JOINT COMMISSION standards, State and Federal regulations and all other applicable licensing and accrediting requirements. Collaborates with colleagues from the healthcare team to produce outcomes resulting from optimal care of patients within a fiscally responsible context. Execution of orders and treatments through multidisciplinary pathways are one source of outcome data analyzed in the Quality Department and disseminated throughout the clinical arena.

Is responsible for the administration and supervision of respective professional and non-professional staff in the above supervised units. Collaborates with managers, directors and senior management and the medical staff to develop and implement appropriate quality patient care goals and objectives and ensures compliance. Demonstrates respect for all employees and creates a productive and satisfied team that can generate substantial outcomes.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

□ Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific Field or BSN X Required □ Preferred

Other related degrees may be considered based on experience, such as Industrial Engineer, Industrial Hygienist, or Occupational Health and Safety Specialist.

□ Master's degree X Preferred □ Required

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of five years in Quality Improvement and/or Case Management services, or equivalent. Three years
Leadership experience X Required
