Directs the departments' activities and resources to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Leads the patient care teams within assigned clinical and/or programmatic areas.The Director will provide clinical direction and leadership to all Rehabilitative and Wellness staff members. Assesses, plans, implements, leads and evaluates administrative and
operational activities. Collaborates with all members of the health care team to support and
maintain a patient centered care environment and care delivery system.The Director of Diagnostic Services provides leadership and direction for the overall clinical and administrative activities of Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory Services. This position assures that all departments maintain accreditation with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to; CLIA, CAP, ACR, FDA and the Joint Commission. The position ensures continual, timely and accurate diagnostic services and reports are provided to patients by: selecting and effectively utilizing personnel and supplies; by organizing workflow; and by assuring proper maintenance of diagnostic equipment. This position is responsible for all imaging technology within the organization. This includes, but is not limited to x-ray equipment, both within the hospital and within the organizational clinics, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography, CT, MRI and the interventional suite. This position is also responsible for all image archiving and reporting and supporting solutions such as the PACS, CVIS, VR dictation, MUSE and Viewpoint. This position is also responsible for training, technical support, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory systems performance and monitoring. The Director of Diagnostic Services is a highly trained individual who coordinates activities to solve problems under critical time constraints. This individual manages in accordance with hospital standards and policies. In collaboration with the Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory Medical Directors, administers policies, procedures and programs that guide and support the services of Watertown Regional Medical Center.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
□ Bachelor’s degree □ Preferred x Required

Required Skills
Current licensure as a Wisconsin State Licensed Radiographer.
Registered Technologist, Radiography

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of five years progressive work experience in a Diagnostic Imaging functional area, hospital setting, with a minimum of three years supervisory experience. Diagnostic Imaging systems experience is essential.
