The candidate who is hired for this part-time position will be required to teach at our Online campus. This position is a virtual/online course.

  1. As a faculty member you’ll be challenged with adding your professional expertise to instruct a curriculum which is centrally developed with specific learning objectives.
  2. Provide timely and detailed feedback on a weekly basis and offer student support via classroom, phone, and email.
  3. Utilize classroom learning system technology (provided by university), the Internet, and Microsoft Office software.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MUST meet  the pathways below, as well as any applicable clarifications stated, (including education, area of study and previous work experience, including minimum number of years and types of experience):
  • Doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration, Finance, Economics or a related degree 
  • Three (3) leadership experience in Finance or Economics in a higher education organization including that includes supervisory responsibilities and 1 year of successful online instructional experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in Finance or Economics in education 
  • One 1 year of successful online instructional experience in higher education
  • Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Complete the self-guided Dissertation Chair Training Refresher (DCTR) annually.
  • SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENT: All faculty members must have one record of scholarship within the last five years that meets UOPX’s definition of scholarship engagement. Faculty who do not have DCTR or graduate scholarship on file may still qualify; however, they have one year from the date the content area is approved to come into compliance with these requirements to maintain the content area approval


  • Proven experience as a scholar, practitioner, leader in one of the industries relative to our doctoral degree program
  • Able to convey a professional image and effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with the community as well as in all professional social media profiles such as LinkedIn
  • Familiarity with adult education experience
  • Experience with doctoral-level education
  • High level of problem solving and decision-making abilities to respond to student issues and concerns, evaluate students for retention, assess student work and abilities and facilitate the doctoral learning experience
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, employees and external parties
