Job Description

Haywood Regional Medical Center

Manages all pre-employment health related processesCollects specimens for pre-employment drug screens. Reviews healthcare questionnaire with candidates. If needed, performs N95 mask fitting. Sets up all Employee Health files.
Manages health related programming for the employee populationDevelops and implements the annual influenza policy for the current year and reports results to CMS as required.
Manages health related programming for the employee populationDevelops health and wellness programs and activities in support of a healthy workforce. Develops and delivers education related to injury prevention. Supports wellness initiatives put forward by DLP. Works collaboratively with Leave Administrator on these programs.
Administrative FunctionsIn collaboration with the HRD and LA, reviews and revises employee health related policies.
Manages annual programs required to maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, TJC standards.Conducts annual N95 mask fittings for the organization and keeps those records up to date so that we are prepared for surveyor visits at all times.
Manages health related programming for the employee populationReviews all labs (titers,exposure panels) for any follow-up lab work. Conducts all return-to-work evaluations following employee illness/leave.

Job Requirements

Minimum EducationAssociate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate with others.
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Required Licenses[North Carolina, United States] Registered Nurses
Licensed by the NCBON or Compact state.
