Job Description

Position Summary:

Prepares and services a variety of foods for patients, staff, catering and special functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Institutional food service experience preferred.
  • Food handlers' permit required within 30 days of hire and maintain as current.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for preparation of cold foods.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in work area.
  • Maintains refrigerators according to policy and procedure.
  • Assists in all dietary daily functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work varied shifts
