Job Description
Maria Parham HealthThe Nursing Supervisor coordinates the activities of the hospital on evening/night/weekend shifts to maintain 24-hour nursing administrative coverage. The Nursing Supervisor supervises and directs nursing personnel and monitors staffing and skill mix for appropriate staffing levels in the absence of the Nursing Director. Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, assisting with problem solving in determining interventions as appropriate for the patient age and clinical situation. Serves as a resource for Charge Nurses.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Successful completion of Nursing program from an accredited school is required
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Experience and expertise in management either in front line or shift supervisory work.
2-3 years of recent experience in a healthcare setting.
Required Skills
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of employment.
License: Registered Nurse License in the state of NC or compact state.
