Responsible for personnel, management, and the coordination of nursing service activities for the scheduled working shift, in accordance with established philosophy, objectives, and policies for the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care and takes charge, in the absence of the Director of Nursing Services.


Job Requirements

MinimumEducation:

Associate’sdegree from an institution of higher education accredited by the Commission onCollegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and/or the Accreditation Commission forEducation in Nursing (ACEN)

RequiredSkills:

Requirescritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision.

Mustbe able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

BasicLife Support (BLS)

Validlicensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN)

MinimumWork Experience:

Must have two (2) years of acute nursing experience as aRegistered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
