Position Summary:

Manage an organization consist of managers, engineers, administrative staff, technician and operators. The team support all aspects of quality and reliability function for from NPI to high volume factory operation inclusive of failure analysis lab, reliability lab, customer complaint management, QMS and supplier-subcon quality management.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the new technology / product development engagement to ensure early definition of risk, resolution plan and drive APQP process to achieve healthy product start-up and ramp.
  • Support reliability qualification for all the new products, proliferation, quality and value engineering improvement projects
  • Drive to improve factory quality system improvements in achieving defect-free products for critical automotive and flash/illumination markets.
  • Manage the SQA engineers to perform regular supplier quality system audit, management of supplier issues and drive improvement to the incoming materials quality.             

  • Manage a team of customer quality engineers to interfaces with field CQM in factory related product issues and formulate the root cause corrective response to customers through the 8D process.
  • Be part of the Site Management Team to influence the site strategic focus and leads in key initiatives that support the current and future grow, operationally and organizationally.

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):

  • BS or Master in Technical Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related.
  • Minimum 15 years engineering technical experience, with minimum 10 years direct senior leadership & management experience leading a large scale quality & reliability organization for semiconductor or/and LED manufacturing site.
  • Demonstrated strong technical, problem solving and quality system capability especially in backend packaging assembly, SMT and test process. Technically strong with good understanding of the packaging failure mechanism (assembly-materials, board-SMT, LED lamp system and test), LED lamp functionality product knowledge, failure analysis technique and reliability stress fundamentals.
  • Excellent knowledge in advance quality management system in support of product/technology development, high volume factory operation, supplier quality management, customer audits, 8D process, customers’ communication. Great leadership in driving zero defects culture across the factory organizations.
  • Experience building a highly efficient team to support and drive a technical operation. Excellent influencing, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skill with ability to work across culture and country.
  • Excellent communication with preferably experience in working with Japanese customers and ability to communicate in Japanese language.
