Job Description

Position Overview

Position is responsible for all aspects the planning and procurement of materials to support maintaining kiosks uptime for assigned categories. In addition, the Buyer/Planner will collaborate with cross functional teams and suppliers to support the requisition and return material processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, equipment and other categories as assigned
  • Confer with Sr. Buyer/Planner to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products
  • Manage the cost, quality, and delivery of material purchased
  • Manage and process requisitions from other functional groups
  • Maintains and grows supplier relationships
  • Manage and track any return materials systematically and with suppliers
  • Work with Accounting and Finance teams to troubleshoot invoicing issues
  • Monitor and communicate order status for categories assigned
  • Drive the discovery and implementation of cost savings related to categories assigned
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain team to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Prepares analysis of information about supplier performance

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in buyer, planner type roles/specialized knowledge
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience using Oracle or equivalent Warehouse Management system preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Good foundational negotiating skills
  • Experience working with and managing suppliers to ensure cost/quality/delivery expectations are met
  • Technical/mechanical aptitude is preferred
  • Professional Certification: APICS Certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred

  • Ability to work independently but also have a strong commitment to being a team player
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for excellence, high level of accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills in writing, over the phone, and in person
  • Ability to work cross functionally and with external suppliers
  • Ability to work with all customers in a positive and courteous manner at all times
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate situations and make sound business decisions while working under tight deadlines and effectively prioritize workload so that the right things get done at the right time
  • Ability to travel up to 10 %

  • Sedentary work involves sitting or standing most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
