Wilson Medical CenterJob Summary:
Responsible for day to day operations in at least one of the following sections of the Laboratory: Transfusion Services, Microbiology, Hematology, Chemistry, Phlebotomy, Point of Care; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements as it pertains to assigned section, schedules and assists with staff supervision by ensuring competencies and other staff requirements are completed in a timely manner, reviews quality control, patient results, proficiency testing surveys and other reports as needed, coordinates daily activities in assigned laboratory section, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and routinely performs bench testing.

Associate's degree - required
Bachelor’s degree - Preferred Required Skills: Analytical, detail oriented, ability to work under pressure, critical thinking, must have the ability to problem solve, good communication skills, and ability to work without supervision. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining focus in a demanding environment. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent computer skills.
