Job Description
Raleigh General HospitalAssist in assuring optimum quality patient care. Assist in care of the acutely ill. Perform procedure for which LPN preparation has provided necessary degree of skill and judgment. Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Provides direct patient care
Implements treatments and procedures
Communicates appropriate information intradepartmentally and interdepartmentally
Conducts patient and staff teaching and continuing education for professional development
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures
Reports to: Director of Emergency Services
FLSA: Non-exempt
Grade: N06
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Required Licenses
