POSITION SUMMARY:  With a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude, responsible for greeting guests at valet/front entrance to the Hotel, and safely transporting their luggage to the Front Desk and to and from the guest’s room.  Responsible for the efficient and safe parking and retrieval of guests’ vehicles.  Provides assertive hospitality in a friendly manner by extending a helping hand to all incoming and outgoing guests.


  • Greets customer at Hotel Valet Porte-Cochere, transports luggage to and from vehicle to guest rooms, parks and retrieves customer’s passenger vehicles while creating a seamless customer service experience with an upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Initiates and engages in conversations with guests on all Hotel/Casino amenities, restaurants, special events, promotions, and travel directions.
  • Responsible for accurate and careful loading and unloading of guests’ luggage.
  • Responsible for luggage room and all storage and retrieval of guest luggage.
  • Assists guest by opening and closing doors and providing an enthusiastic welcome.
  • Accurately completes luggage tags and valet tickets, which includes inspection of vehicle for prior damage.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding luggage and valet services.
  • Receives and responds to calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Handles guest vehicles safely and cautiously at all times.
  • Ensures files are properly maintained to reflect the location of all vehicles parked in the valet parking locations.  Maintains record of total cars parked and delivered by each attendant and overall totals for the day. Performs daily supply checks, equipment checks, maintains equipment, and maintains supply logbook.
  • Consistently practices a sense of urgency throughout entire shift to include greeting guests immediately as they arrive, sprinting to and from Valet lot, delivering luggage, and in all other job duties. 
  • Adheres to regulatory, safety, departmental and company policies.
  • Supports safety and accident prevention programs. 
  • Practices lateral service by stepping out of normal job description to help guests and co-workers, when business allows or when directed to do so by a member of the leadership team. 
  • Consistently maintains an Upbeat and Positive attitude with guests and co-workers. 
  • Maintains appearance standards and treats guests courteously at all times.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valet experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid state issued Driver’s License, and have a driving record that meets Company requirements.
  • Must be able to drive and operate all types of passenger vehicles with automatic transmissions in a safe fashion. Experience operating manual transmissions preferred.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when maneuvering around work area. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs., and the ability to push up to 100 lbs. without assistance up an inclined ramp.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, sort, reach and tear. 
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (4 – 6 hours intervals).
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways, escalator or elevator.
  • Must have the ability to easily converse with guests and coworkers.
  • Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule and/or rotating shifts with fluctuating days off, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to tolerate frequent trips outside, including during extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
