Job Description

Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of repair technicians. They will also identify gaps in training, processes and tools and then implement solutions. This individual must be able to operate all stations and perform hands on testing/analysis. In addition, they will actively lead root cause analysis work and partner with the Operations and Engineering Teams to implement effective preventative measures as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the kiosk remanufacturing team
  • Utilize effective leadership skills in a manner to achieve proper motivation, performance, reward, respect and accountability for all operational resources
  • Supervise day to day activities to meet the deadlines of the company
  • Ability to improve or develop processes and effectively train technicians for test and troubleshooting
  • Responsible for managing the failure analysis process including flow of activity, tracking and presenting FA performance to management and internal partners
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, remanufacture and repair, configuration and packing of kiosks and kiosk subsystems from the field
  • Create/Update work instructions, inspection checklists and procedures as needed
  • Provide expertise, leadership, and training on structured problem-solving techniques to team i.e., Breakdown Analysis (BDA), Lean, Six Sigma and other root cause analysis tools, etc.
  • Ensure internal partners are fully aware of the thoroughness of an FA and the expected Turn Around Time
  • Responsible for maintaining the documentation system to collect and maintain process and product history and maintain such record keeping in accordance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Meets regularly with key company members to discuss interdepartmental issues and key projects
  • Maintaining a steady supply of tools for all employees to be operating at maximum efficiency
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all areas, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Pursues continuous improvement in kiosk performance and team productivity
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Technical Discipline).
  • 5+ years of management experience within a Maintenance organization
  • Previous Supervisor experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team
  • Technical certifications a plus
  • Analytical skills and specific training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving method, such as fishbone diagrams, 5 why, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc.
  • Data-driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, 'see the big picture,' and work through ambiguity and change.
  • Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc) and other computer tools and software (i.e. Salesforce)

  • Strong leadership skills and lead, manage and motivate team
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to the business needs
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible
  • Basic understanding of PC Hardware and Windows
  • Ability to create, review, and revise operating procedures, work instructions in English
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills preferred.
  • The applicant should demonstrate a strong ability work within team as well as mange his or her responsibilities as an individual contributor
  • Ability to Lift 50 pounds
