Job Description
Fauquier HealthThe Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation.
Job Requirements
High SchoolDiploma or equivalent. 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant orCertified Clinical Medical Assistant. Demonstrated phlebotomyexperience. Current BLS. Certified Medical Assistant or LicensedPractical Nurse-Medical Assistant must be credentialed by an organizationthat is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)(within 6 months of hire). Ability to collect and document vital signsand other required medical patient information; Ability to administerinjections, vaccines, and medications; Ability to perform basic triage andtreatments as directed. Demonstrated ability to use computers.
Preferred: Medical Assistant Degree. 2 years experience as aMedical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Six months of phlebotomy skillsto include blood draws.
