Job Description
Maria Parham HealthPerforms diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
The Medical Technologist will follow standardized procedures and help prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Associate's degree with medical technician training and 5 years experience in medical laboratory required.
Bachelor of Science or MT degree with medical technology clinical training preferred.
Required Skills
Certifications: MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), AMT, (NCA or HEW MT certification accepted prior to 2010); certification required at hire or within 6 months of hire.
