The primary purpose of the multi care technician position is to assist the nursing staff by working as a certified nursing assistant, unit clerk and monitoring cardiac rhythms for those patients the physician has placed on telemetry. Performs various duties related to the assigned nursing unit in accordance with established Hospital Policies and Procedures. Under the supervision of healthcare provider, performs a variety of basic patient care activities.

Essential Functions

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Performs basic patient care activities as delegated including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.

Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.

Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

Assists with keeping patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly.

Performs clerical duties, aligned with nursing station activities.

The Multi-Care technician has the responsibility of reporting any change in the patient’s cardiac rhythm, any unusual occurrences, patient and/or employee issues, work related accidents to the Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who are responsible for the delivery of patient care.
Strives daily to give all customers very good care and promotes Havasu Regional Medical Centers’ Standards of Behavior and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent

Certification(s)/Licensure(s) Required Upon Hire:

AZ CNA Certification or LNA license

Certification(s)/Licensure(s) Required With In 30 Days of Hire:

Basic Life Support (BLS) 

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Minimum Work Experience Preferred

Certified Nursing experience
