Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. Operates Nuclear Medicine equipment to produce scanograms and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Assist Department Director related to Radiation Safety. Maintains relationships with Physicists and state and national accrediting bodies. Provides service to patients throughout the life span, including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of five (5) yearsexperience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification by ARRTor NMTCB. Current certification by the State of New Mexico in NuclearMedicine. If registry eligible must complete and pass within one year ofhire date. CPR certification required.
