Job Description
Bolivar Medical CenterProvides general nursing assistant care such as positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, applying/ utilizing special equipment, assisting in use of bedpan, commode and ambulating patients.
This position will be working as needed on the Long Term Care floor.
- Prepares patients for meals, serves and removes food trays and assists with meals or feeds patients as
- necessary.
- Answers patient call lights, anticipates patient's needs and makes rounds of assigned patients.
- Transports patients to various departments for ordered tests/procedures.
- Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, blood pressure and intake-output.
- Reports patient complain of paid to supervising LPN/RN.
- Observes patients' mental and physical conditions, reports any changes to supervising RN.
- Communicates in a clear and concise manner to LPNs, RNs and medical staff.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Required
Current Mississippi Certified Nursing Assistant- Temporary Certificate
BLS Required
- This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
