Job Description
Central Carolina HospitalThe Nurse Tech/Asst Provides patient care to include but not limited to, assistance with activities of daily living, vital signs and Accu-checks while under the supervision and direction of the nurse.
Their duties will include:
- Monitor vital signs/blood sugars
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
- Measure and document input/output and weights
- Assist nurse as needed
- Answer call lights
- Disconnect IV access as ordered
- Insert and disconnect Foley catheter as ordered
- Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
- Provide care appropriate to the condition/age of the patient
- Distribute drinks and/or snacks
- Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment.
- All other duties as unassigned.
Job Requirements
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Graduate of Nursing Assistant Program I and II
Required Certification:
Certified Nursing Assistant I & II
American Heart Association BLS is required
