 A $15,000.00 sign on bonus is currently being offered for this position for a twenty four (24) month commitment of full time employment.

 LAMC is currently offering an up to $1000.00 per month rental incentive for up to six months for this position for a newly hired applicant who makes the decision to move  to Los Alamos and reside in the community.

 This position performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.  

Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

 Associate’s degree Required

 Graduate of a Program in Discipline  Required
 Bachelor’s degree Preferred
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
 Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) reqquired upon hire.

 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)/ENPC must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Newly graduated RNs must have current BLS upon hire, must obtain ACLS and PALS/ENPC within six (6) months from hire.
New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the position job description.
Licenses: Current NM RN licensure or appropriate NM Compact licensure
