Job Description

UP Health System - Marquette

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Assists in room preparation and opening of supplies. Orders, receives, completes and distributes case carts for individual cases.
Assists OR staff by transporting, setting up and troubleshooting technical equipment used in surgery.
Operates required laser during surgery
Cleans and prepares procedure rooms in between patients and sets up appropriate equipment for the next procedure.
Cleans and disinfects flexible scopes for OR and Anesthesia.
Maintains records for compliance regarding room temperature and humidity.
Monitors positive pressure for surgical suites.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Skills

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Work Experience

  • 2 years hospital experience or formal training preferred
