The Radiology Clerk Coordinator will be responsible for the scheduling of all outside test; consults/referrals and this includes insurance prior authorizations and requires knowledge of available specialist and the requirements of each office.

Schedules, problem solve, communicates, and coordinates referral appointments with outside specialists upon receipt of the Referral Order.


Tracks and enters all referral requests in the Referral Management System (EMR) and Insurance Electronic System on a daily basis.


Coordinates with the clinical staff to track the status of all provider reports on patients referred to hospitals, outside clinics and Specialty Providers.


Job Requirements

Minimum Education

High School or GED Equivalent is required.

Minimum Work Experience

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Practice Management Software Experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Medical terminology knowledge, preferred.
