Valley View Medical Center
This is a Department of Nursing Service position that provides delivery of patient care with the knowledge of a Registered Nurse.
Must be able to coordinates the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates in patient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process. Provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectively with physicians, ancillary staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice in the multidisciplinary clinical setting. Provides the basic leadership required of a Registered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education 
High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred X Required 
Associate’s degree □ Preferred X Required 
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current license in good standing 
Bachelor’s degree X Preferred □ Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications: 
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association) - within 90 Days of hire 
APEX Innovations completed within 90 Days of Hire 
Telemetry monitoring Exam given at hire and must be able to interpret EKG while caring for patient's that are on a cardiac monitor.

Required Licenses
[Arizona, United States] Registered Nurses
Valid/Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure Required or
Valid/Current Compact State/Multistate Registered Nurse Licensure
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred

Minimum Work Experience
One (1) year of Critical Care Experience Preferred
