We have an excellent medical staff of obstetricians, pediatricians and family practitioners, as well as experienced and well-trained nurses who welcome more than 700 babies into the world each year.
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse to join our Nursery team who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice through utilization of the Mother/Baby model.

Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has been providing quality health care to Gallatin, Hendersonville and the surrounding areas for 60 years. Since opening in 1959 as Sumner County Memorial Hospital, SRMC has grown from a facility with just 50 employees and seven physicians to a comprehensive health care leader in the community with more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians.
SRMC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is governed by a local board of trustees. The hospital is also one of the largest non-government employers in Sumner County.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Associate’s degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - Preferred

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required.

BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required to be current upon hire.
NRP certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment.
STABLE certification from approved American Heart Association training center required withing 6 months of employment (eff 3.19)

Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure – Required

Minimum Work Experience
1 year experience in Nursery - Preferred
