Full Time. Provides direct patient care to patients of all ages using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Job Requirements

Requires current, valid Colorado RN License; current BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire.  One to two years of clinical experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills; excellent critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care; knowledge of the professional nursing theory and practice; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of all information; ability to multi-task; ability to prioritize; ability to effective communicate verbally and in writing; basic computer skills; possesses knowledge of surgical pharmacology and anesthesia agent adjuncts; and must be able to take up to 8 days of call per month including weekend and holiday coverage. The PACU nurse must possess assessment skills to rapidly assess the PACU patient and evaluate vital signs. Must be proficient in pain assessment and pain management, documenting the same on the PACU record. Must be able to complete the Aldrete scoring and LOC evaluation. Must appropriately recognize and respond to emergency situations. The Perioperative/Circulator RN is to perform their job function in accordance to AORN guidelines, JACHO and CPMC Standards of Conduct; serve as the patient advocate; and ensures a safe environment for the surgical patient.  Salary range $27.47 to $41.20 DOE plus applicable call and call back pay.
